We have some amazing people working here at Soda Inc. including the newest member of the Soda team, Keeley Lovatt. Keeley is our new Intern, she will be with us for the next few months. Read on to find out what weird and wacky food she ate in China, why monkeys are her animal of choice, who - dead or alive - she'd love to have dinner with and more.

Who inspires you?

Strong women, sounds cheesy, but I am so inspired by strong boss women. Women who are reshaping how women were once viewed in the workplace by being intelligent, strong-willed and determined. Not even in a business sense, strong women who have worked towards a good life for themselves and their family. Go girls!

What’s the best concert you ever attended?

I haven’t been to many concerts (I want to change this!!), but my favourite festival/concert was the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium. So much fun that definitely ruined my bank account but was 100% worth it!

If you could be any animal, which would you be and why?

Monkey! They just look like they live a happy life, and they are so interesting to watch! I love them because they are so unique to the animal kingdom and their personality always shines through.

What’s your favourite business book/podcast?

My favourite business book would have to be The Power of Appreciative Inquiry, by Whitney Trosten-Bloom. This book is all about focusing on the positive attributes within yourself or your company and building on them instead of focusing on the negative.

I personally haven’t listened to many business podcasts yet. l currently listen to self-improvement podcasts such as The Self-Love Club, by Bel Crawford.

What are you passionate about?

I’m super passionate about education, the environment, and people standing up for what they believe is right. I love when people fight for what they believe in (in an ethical and considerate way of course!). I am a metal straw –  keepcup – metal water bottle – type of enviro-gal, and love when people make small changes to help our planet. I believe in constantly improving yourself by learning and education. I believe this will help so many issues in the world.

What’s your favourite movie?

Diary of a Teenage Girl or Ginger and Rosa. I love independent films which are set in the 70s/80s, they are definitely a fav of mine!

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Hmmm, one of them is probably eating duck stomach, chicken feet and pig ear in China. That was definitely um… interesting.

What are you currently watching on Netflix?

Nothing on Netflix currently, BUT I’m watching Handmaid's Tale on Lightbox. Wow, what a show! It’s sometimes very hard to watch, but also addictive at the same time. I often get really attached to the characters in TV shows, and this one is no exception.

If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been before, where would it be?

Probably South America. Looks like a beautiful place and would love to climb Machu Picchu, although I would need to step up my fitness game before I even think about that.

Which four people, living or dead, would you most like to eat dinner with? What kind of dinner party would it be?

Old icons: Bob Marley, Freddie Mercury, John Lennon and Amy Winehouse.

That would be an iconic dinner party! Probably all gathered around a barbecue with lots of delicious food and gin.

If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?

Yellow all the way.
