We have some amazing people working here at Soda Inc. including the newest member of the Soda team, Chris Steeghs. Chris is our new Intern, he will be with us for the next few months. Read on to find out why he wants to go to Africa, what concert he went to that was measured on the Richter scale, who he'd love to have dinner with, and more.

Who inspires you?

My friends and family. I am very lucky to be surrounded by such amazing people! Also, Jack Johnson is a great guy.

What’s the best concert you ever attended?

When I was 15, I went to the Foo Fighters at Western Springs Stadium. That concert went so hard that it was recorded on the Richter scale.

If you could be any animal, which would you be and why?

I want to be like Crush the turtle from Finding Nemo. I go with the flow and don’t get stressed easily. That being said, I’d consider myself to be a bit more ambitious.

What’s your favourite business book/podcast?

Not exactly a business book, but Sir Edmund Hillary’s ‘View from the Summit’. A very inspiring book that has forced a lot of self-reflection out of me. I don’t really listen to many podcasts… definitely should start though.

What are you passionate about?

Control the controllable… if there’s something you can do to change an outcome, then do it! If not, don’t stress it.

Also just be a good person… there are too many muppets already!

What’s your favourite movie?

The Dark Knight is pretty solid. Otherwise maybe Back to the Future.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Interning at Soda Inc.

What are you currently watching on Netflix?

Not on Netflix, but I just watched Free Solo, the documentary of Alex Honnald, the rock climber. It’s interesting to see the mindset of someone who toes the line with death.

If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been before, where would it be?

The various shanty towns in Africa. I think it would be interesting to see what real poverty looks like. It would definitely make me more appreciative of what I have.

Which four people, living or dead, would you most like to eat dinner with? What kind of dinner party would it be?

Dave Grohl, Mac Miller, Steve Irwin, Conor McGregor.

Would be kicked back, having beers, playing backyard cricket or something

If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?

Gold, because I’m a champion
